    Position Overview

    Working under the supervision of the Billing Manager, this position is responsible for answering incoming calls, contacting patients regarding past due balances, educating practices on proper procedures for filing insurance and assisting in various office duties. The Billing Collections Customer Service role requires extensive interaction with both patients and colleagues. The ability to deal with difficult issues in a calm, professional, and results-oriented manner is critical to success in this role. Exceptional customer service as well as a systematic approach to resolving issues is a key skill for the Collections Customer Service position.


    • Answering all incoming calls.
    • Contact patients regarding past due balances.
    • Receive and post incoming patient payments.
    • Process weekly patient statements.
    • Manage Collection Company Module
    • Assist with insurance verification.
    • Various office duties as assigned by Billing Manager.


    • Education: High school diploma
    • Experience: 1-2 years in customer service position. Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
    • Ability to define challenges, analyze problems, and suggest solutions in a proactive and positive manner
    • High attention to detail in fast paced and dynamic environment
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks
    • Ability to work accurately under pressure to meet competing deadlines
    • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of organization
    • Experience in Microsoft Office
