Position Overview

As the National Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for the development and performance of all sales in each market.  You’ll have flexibility to direct a sales team and provide leadership towards the achievement of goals that complement Frontera’s vision and values.  You’ll also have an integral voice in determining strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contribute to the development and growth of the sales force.


  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the company that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. Develop an effective sales compensation plan that will motivate and increase sales.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the Sales Team.
  • Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Conducts weekly Level 10 meetings with all sales team to promote peer competition, collective intelligence and clear communication.   
  • Conducts one-on-one reviews with all sales staff to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance.
  • Participates in daily market huddle calls.  
  • Provides timely feedback to Leadership team regarding performance.
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by the Sales Team.
  • Assists salespeople in preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines and stay within the company’s cost of sale goals.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Recruits, tests, and hires salespeople based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.


  • Education: Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ current experience leading a national sales team in healthcare.
  • Three years servicing and selling a service to physicians, hospitals, or alternate site healthcare setting highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership, management, problem solver & planner with organizational and analytical ability.
  • Good project planning and execution skills.
  • Strategic thinking, team building and teaching skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure to meet competing deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of organization.
